• The top layer consists of 3.3 inches (instead of 3 inches from competitors) of 4 lb Premium Vita Vitality Visco Elastic Memory Foam.
• The second layer is 2 inches Polyurethane Vita Ultra Cell Foam, considered the best and most durable polyurethane in the world. The multi layering of 3 foam types helps to create ventilation air flow and contributes to keeping your mattress cool and dry.
• The base foam is High Resiliency, High-density Polyurethane Vita Ultra Cell Foam, considered among the best and most durable polyurethane foams in the world. For this Mattress we use a full 4.7 inches for perfect comfort!
• The luxurious cover is a Damask Mattelaise, Micro-Lux Cotton-blend Stretch fabric. All our mattresses meet Fire Retardant Compliance Codes for their state.
• The bottom of the mattress has an expensive Hanes Converting Grip-Tite Base to prevent any lateral movement of the foundation.
• The 8" DuraLife foundation like the TemperPedic model, is made of kiln-dried, yellow southern pine.
• The matching foundation is covered in identical Mattelaise Cotton-blend fabric - same as the mattress and it's quilted, too! Competing models do not quilt this foundation cover.

Memory foam, technically "visco-elastic foam," was originally developed by NASA for use by astronauts.
